  • The ‘King of Bollywood’, Shahrukh Khan was born in New Delhi.
  • SRK debuted in Bollywood with a bang starring in Deewana and winning a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut, and since then has never left the limelight.
  • Shahrukh has received fifteen Filmfare Awards, thirteen Screen Awards, six IIFA Awards (including Star of the Decade), as well as countless other awards and international honours.
  • Khan is renowned for his roles in blockbuster hits such as Dil To Pagal Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Mohabbatein, Devdas, and Kabhi Kushi Kabhie Gham.
  • SRK is also a well known television presenter of shows such as Kaun Banega Crorepati, as well as being active in stage performances as well.
  • Behind the camera, Shahrukh has thrown his support behind several charitable organizations and NGOs, as well as adopting several villages himself in order to help the fight against poverty.
  • Shah Rukh married his wife Gauri in 1991, and they have two children.
  • In 2008, Khan in partnership with Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta acquired ownership rights for the franchise representing Kolkata in the Twenty20 cricket tournament Indian Premier League.
  • While at St. Columba’s School, Delhi, Shah Rukh was awarded the ‘Sword of Honor’, an annual award conferred upon the student who incorporates the true spirit of the school, to try one’s hand at everything.
  • Shah Rukh Khan has adopted around twelve villages to provide with electricity as part of the solar energy harnessing project’s initiative ‘Light A Billion Lives.’
